Baiana will be showing another side to their music as they perform as the Baby Baiana Trio each Saturday at Petit Cafe Du Coin on Berry Street, Liverpool in an exciting new residency.

The trio will see Baiana vocalist Laura Doyle and guitarist Micky Dunne team up with fellow guitarist Karl Webb, who plays regularly with Mickey as part of gypsy-jazz group The Manouchetones.

Laura said: “The Petit Cafe Du Coin is a beautiful, intimate venue that evokes all the charm of the Parisian cocktail bars and literary cafes where European bossa nova had its sweetest moments. With this residency we want to help capture that feeling and also share the sounds and emotion of the boteco, Rio’s equivalent to Paris’ cafe society.”

The Baby Baiana Trio will play at Petit Cafe Du Coin, on the corner of Berry Street and Duke Street each Saturday from 7.30pm. Entry is free. Customers requiring a table are advised to  arrive early.
