The “It’s the Rio Thing” show is heading for the Edinburgh Jazz festival after sell out shows in Liverpool and London.
The band will be reunited with legendary pianist Kenny Clayton for two gigs at the Stylish Black Ivy venue. Together Kenny and Baiana will be exploring what they affectionately call the “Scouse American songbook” which will see them celebrating the great standards of Brazilian jazz, performing original songs and breathing new life into some of Lennon and McCartney’s most melodic compositions.
The shows take place at the Back Ivy on the 17th and 18th July. Tickets cost £10 for the show and a delicious cocktail, with dinner and show packages available for just £35.
All in all, this will be an unforgettable and unmissable evening of entertainment!
The Black Ivy is situated at 4 Alvanley Terrace, Edinburgh, EH9 1DU. Telephone 0131 564 1901.
