Baiana are making their Parrjazz debut in July with a gig at Phase One in Seel Street.

In a special warm-up to the band’s two-night date at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival, the July 9^th gig will feature the full band and promises to be an evening of entertainment not to be missed.

Parrjazz is a not-for-profit organisation set up and run by musicians, for musicians and music lovers, to spread the gospel of jazz at various venues across the city and gives music-lovers the chance to hear some of the best jazz bands on the British scene.

For their first Parrjazz performance, Baiana will be celebrating the music of Brazil with a treasure chest of classic Bossa Novas, seductive sambas and Latin-inspired arrangements of jazz standards.

The gig begins around 7.30-8pm. There is free entry before 9pm* then £3 for tickets with a chance to win vinyl of your choice on the night (t’s and c’s apply),
