Laura has been talking about Baiana’s plans for the future and giving a glimpse of what inspired her to form the band.

In an interview on the YouTube channel Good Times TV, Laura revealed the band have been writing songs for a new album and putting the finishing touches to their next big show – Blame it on Rio.

The band was due to perform the show at the Edinburgh Festival between August 16th-30^th at the city’s famous Voodoo Rooms venue. With the cancellation of the festival due to the Covid 19 crisis new dates later in the year are being discussed.

In the interview Laura also talks about her love for Brazilian bossa nova star Sergio Mendes and how his music inspired her to become a singer during the time when she lived in Rio de Janeiro.
