Baiana singer and bandleader Laura Doyle said the track was inspired by the years she lived in Rio De Janeiro and the romance and beauty of the place and its people.

Laura said:

“There is a magical time, just before the dawn, when Rio is waking up, the fishermen are getting their boats ready and you see the young lovers walking home along the beach in each other’s arms. It’s a beautiful sort of atmosphere, what I used to call a bossa nova dream.”

Bossa Nova Dream is produced by famed DJ and percussionist MARK ‘SNOWBOY’ COTGROVE and is the latest release from Baiana’s, as yet untitled, debut album.

Baiana’s last single – Saudade Samba – spent 10 weeks on the Jazz FM A-list playlist and was also featured on BBC Radio 6’s Gilles Peterson show.

Baiana’s next big gig is at London’s famous 606 Jazz Club on Wednesday, November 9.
